Criteria to live at Bridget’s House

Women living at Bridget’s House will be required to maintain employment, have their own transportation, and actively participate in our advocacy and mentorship program. In addition, they must be:

  • a single mom with at least one child under age 18 at home.

  • homeless or be experiencing housing instability.

  • committed to personal growth and ready to put in the effort needed to transform their circumstances.

Please note: Bridget’s House is not an emergency shelter or recovery center. Women who have completed these programs are eligible.

If you or someone you know are is need of immediate, emergency shelter, the following resources are available in Ottawa County. We partner with these organizations and they are here to help as well!

  1. Call 211. By calling 2-1-1 from any phone, you will be connected to a call center who can refer you to a wide range of resources for immediate help.

  2. Gateway Mission in Holland provides assistance to anyone experiencing homelessness and to meet their immediate needs.

  3. Resilience provides 24/7 support for anyone experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking. They also have safe, confidential housing for those fleeing violent situations.
