Pray for the Garden

Each person has the power to bring requests to God. While we may never know the full ripple effect that this garden may have for those receiving fresh fruits and vegetables in our local food pantries, we are so humbled and thankful for the opportunity to serve our community through the Victory Garden. Please pray for our garden as it grows and for the lives of those it will touch!

Why was it started?

During World War I and World War II, communities throughout our nation were encouraged to grow their own fruits and vegetables in their backyards and city parks. This helped supply more food for all and lifted spirits during a difficult time.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and the start of the Community Food Pantry at Ripple Effect, we found ourselves without a great resource for fresh produce as fruits and vegetables were expensive and hard to come by. In order to provide a steady supply of fresh produce for our local food pantries, we decided to grow our own.

Through the generosity of several individual donors and local businesses, including Kerkstra Septic and Walcott Farms, we have made amazing progress on our Victory Garden.

Meet Our Garden Partners

In our first few years of having the Victory Garden, through the generosity of local businesses, as well as individual donors, we made incredible progress on the garden.

A huge thank you to our current and past garden sponsors:
